The Naval Airship Association promotes the history, education, applications and technology of lighter-than-air (LTA) vehicles including balloons, blimps, dirigibles, zeppelins and other airships.
Despite its name, membership in the NAA requires no naval affiliation and is open to anyone. Membership includes a subscription to our quarterly publication, The Noon Balloon.
Photos sent to us from Friends around the world. Do you have more info on any of these? Have some great photos of your own? Let us know!
We Need You and your photos!
We're always on the lookout for photos of crew, airships or just general photos. If you have any you'd care to share, please contact an NAA officer or NAA historical liaison Don Kaiser: don.kaiser@gmail.com.
Join fellow members returning to Akron for our first
national get-together since 2022. As we renew friendships
and welcome first-timers, we will celebrate a century of
Goodyear airships. We will also be paying respects to the
100th anniversary of the loss of 14 Naval airship crewmen
of the USS Shenandoah, on September 3, 1925.
The 2025 NAA Reunion will be in Akron, Ohio from August 29th to September 2nd, 2025
We'll be celebrating 100 Years of Goodyear Airships and remembering the Loss of the ZR-1 in 1925 - 100 years ago!
The NAA produces a quarterly magazine, The Noon Balloon. Showcasing both old and new airships and LTA technology, personal histories, photographs and more!
